Training School on Algebraic Reconstruction Methods in Tomography

April 4-6 2016: Training School on Algebraic Reconstruction Methods in Tomography: and then April 6-8: HD-Tomo Days: In the training school we give a rigorous mathematical description of the reconstruction methods, the associated algebraic models, and the underlying linear algebra, followed by hands-on MATLAB computer exercises that illustrate these methods. The goal is that the participants will get a basic understanding of the formulation, implementation, and use of the algebraic methods, and thus be able to use them for their own CT problems. The workshop aims at bringing together researchers who are interested in mathematical and computational aspects of modern tomographic imaging methods that build on advanced PDE analysis, regularization, and optimization. It will feature invited talks, contributed talks, poster presentations, and dedicated discussion sessions. The goal is to demonstrate the latest tomography-relevant research by leading experts, to allow young researchers a chance to present their work, and to provide a forum for direct exchange of knowledge, perspectives, and ideas.
